The engineering, communication, and coordination strategies used duringthe development and construction of the Historical Route 5 Bridge in Richmond, Virginiacan be employed by leadership teams to successfully complete even the most complicatedprojects. The historical nature, strict timeframes, and restrictive project site generatedstrategic design and replacement techniques. Working around, over, and under railroads,utilities and adjacent projects, the team was able to work out of a corner and meet theunique challenges.
