As an alternative for energy generation, distributed generation has been earning more space among the electric system market. The biogas is one of the sources which is used as a fuel for internal combustion engines, that once connected to a generator, is able to produce clean energy. In front of the necessity of reproducing the behavior of this kind of system, the current paper aims to consolidate a Mean Value Model for an Otto cycle biogas fueled internal combustion engine aiming distributed generation studies. The model was obtained by representing the typical modifications of the biogas conversion on an MVM of an internal combustion engine powered by gasoline.
