摘要

When the underground caverns in brittle rock under high geostress are being excavated, the longitudinal splitting cracks may be initiated in rock pillars between the caverns. Taking Pubugou hydropower station as an engineering background, based on the energy dissipation principle, the dissipating energy of each element is analyzed by FLAC3D.The results show that the values of dissipating energy in specified zone can be obtained and the number of splitting cracks as well as the splitting zones can also be predicted, which are useful for excavation and support design.
