USE OF SLAG-LINE REFRACTORY IN LADLE FOR TIRE CORD STEEL MAKING

摘要

Refractory for slag-line of steel ladle had been improved to meet the demand of tire cord steel making in Baosteel. Bricks with different material, such as MgO-Cr_2O_3, MgO-ZrO_2-C and MgO-C, were experimented in ladle. The result shows that MgO-C bricks with 6% carbon content can accommodate to the slag with different basicity meanwhile the cost is comparatively low. The application and technology demand of ladle slag line for tire cord steel making in Baosteel are discussed.
