This paper is devoted to the numerical approximation of fluid-structure interaction problems. To take into account the turbulence effects typically present in the technical applications, the flow is modelled with the aid of the Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The numerical approximation of RANS and the turbulence model by the finite element method is described. In order to avoid spurious oscillations stabilization procedures are applied and the robust suitable linearization of the Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model is described. The numerical method developed is applied to a problem of a channel flow over a double circular airfoil profile. The nonlinear post-flutter behaviour is numerically approximated.
