This article describes the development and application of IMHE (multimeasure electronic hydrometric instrumentation) technology, digital equipment to measure turbulence parameters in streams, using two new equations: a non uniform flow velocity relationship and a more general Chezy's formula derived. The concept behind these two new calculations is a unified, model of turbulence motions, allowing a more simplified understanding of Fick-Taylor equations of mass transport in streams. This instrument has been extensively used in field tests in Colombia, giving a very enhanced set of measurements in channels and mountain rivers, one series of them is documented in this paper.
