The requirements of The Machinery Directive lay down Essential Health and Safety Requirements for most types of machinery. There are specific requirements that must be conformed to, but the fundamental requirement is to produce and place into service machines that are as safe as possible.rnAircraft ground support equipment comes within the scope of the Machinery Directive. The requirements covered in the specific standards being produced by CEN TC274 are in the main minimum levels. The standards will not prevent new developments or alternative methods from being able to achieve conformity.
