摘要

The cathodic protection industry technology has advanced at an amazing rate from 1945 to 2004. Along the way the advances in technology in the applications of cathodic protection and the equipment and instruments used have been similarly rapid. This paper is intended to capture the history and technical benefits and boundaries often over looked by engineers and practitioners in nominating the anodes they choose to use or not use.
