Many believe Web Services are the best technology to integrate heterogeneous information systems, bothrninternal and external to the organization. This tutorial provides an overview of web services technologies,rnincluding XML-the language that describes any type of data, SOAP-the electronic envelope to put the XMLrnencoded data in, WSDL-the language to describe how to use a web service, and UDDI-the yellow pages ofrnweb-services.
