EUROPEAN ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA FOR RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING COPYRIGHT IN PROGRESS

Prior to the submission for public comment of the proposed European Standard for Unfired Pressure Vessels EN 13445, there was a long debate on acceptance criteria for radiographic testing. The committee CEN/TC 54/WG E/SG Testing initially developed criteria after wide consultation and in the absence of any other available CEN standard. When the acceptance criteria developed by CEN/TC 121 'Welding' became available, the concern was whether they were workable and could achieve comparable accept/reject rates with those developed by the committee CEN/TC 54/WG E/SG Testing and could thus be adopted in place of them.
