We studied the factors that may cause degradation of Poly(p-phenylene It was shown that the degradation rate of PPTA was influenced by the factors such as procession time, spinning solution concentration, CaCl2 content in the spinning solution as well as 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) and H2O in the spinning solution.
