Simulation of PET Hollow Staple Fiber Melt-Spinning

摘要

Hollowness is one important character for hollow fiber. There are many process conditions to influence hollowness, including mass throughput, intrinsic viscosity, spinning velocity, spinning temperature and quenching conditions. The proposed PET hollow staple fiber melting spinning model realistically describes the hollowness profiles along the spinline at different process conditions. Furthermore,the influence of various process parameters on the hollowness is discussed, and the proposed model can be used to theoretically predict product properties.
