With the increasing amount of sewage disposal, the amount of sludge increases every year. But there is a high content of water in the sludge, and it is difficult to get an ideal effect of dehydration by using simple mechanic compression and filtration, which also brings a lot of problem to the following disposal. In the experiment, first we made organic high polymer flocculant by ourselves, and then copolymerized it with inorganic high polymer flocculant which was made of steel slag and pyrite slag to dehydrate sludge. This would on the one hand use the waste to dispose the waste, on the other hand reduce the cost of disposal and increase the feasibility of sludge dehydration. This research showed that with the effect of our organic high polymer flocculant and inorganic high polymer flocculant in the 20kPa vacuum, 24.08% water can be dehydrated from sludge, which is 4.39% higher than that of the import product. So this formulation is low cost and competitive in the market.
