Image Matching with Characteristic Information ofGray Value and Interest Points

Image matching is fundamental process to identifyconjugate points on the stereo images. However, standardmethods or general solutions for matching problem have notbeen found yet, in spite of long history. Quality of the matchingbasically depends on uniqueness of the matching entity androbustness of the algorithm. In this study, conjugate pointswere extracted by implementing interest operator, then areabased matching method was applied to the topographical characteristicsof the gray value as the matching entities. Thematching entities were utilized based on the concept of theintrinsic image.
