Study on Mechanical Properties of N80 Class Oil Casing Produced by Direct Rolling Process

摘要

Recently,WSP China has developed a direct rolling process to produce N80 class seamless oil casing by non-quenched and tempered treatment.The relationship between mechanical properties and microstructures of two types of the N80 class casing has been investigated in this study.The microstructures were resolved by optical microscopy.Impact properties were determined for both steels by instrumented impact tests at temperatures at 0℃.The results were discussed in relation to the difference in the chemical composition and microstructure for the two types of steel pipes.
