The cage (1) has arcuate undercuts (7) provided in a transition from partially cylindrical or partially barrel-shaped regions (5) of receptacles (2) to end surfaces (6) of the receptacles, where the cage is divided or opens at one-side perpendicular to a rotational axis (8) of a rolling body. The receptacles with the undercuts are produced without sharp-edged transitions using a form cutter by mechanical processing in a direction of the rotational axis of the rolling body. The undercuts are produced only at the end surfaces of the receptacles.
