The product oil tank area and gas station have the characteristics of large quantity, wide distribution, various forms and high risk. At present, there is a lack of an accurate classification standard for the classification of lightning protection categories in such places. Based on GB/T 21714.2-2015, this paper establishes a lightning hazard risk assessment method for Petroleum sites by improving the parameter calculation method of (Risk Assessment Method of Working Conditions, LEC) evaluation method. Thus, a new idea is provided for establishing a unified and clear division criterion, so that lightning protection can be carried out purposefully.
