MULTI-VALUES BLOCK CODING OF STILL IMAGES

摘要

Based on the analysis of blockingeffect Caused by two-values block coding,this paper presents a coding method-multi-values block coding of images which has much better performance than two-values block coding.The results of the experiments indicate that with Lhis method,the blocking effect can be efficiently reduced,and the data rate obtained in 1.36 bits/pel.The algorithm for classification given in this paper is very simple.
