摘要

In 2007, "The Technical Standard for Port and Harbor Facilities in Japan" was revised and established as the calculation method for the requisite channel depth and width in the Category 2. However, the validation for apply to existing channels and ships has been remained later. The authors calculated the required channel width and depth based on the above new calculation method of Category 2 for typical 4 types of vessel which call Japanese typical ports. Beside, authors verified the existing approach channel width and depth by above 4 type vessel by calculation method of Category 2.
