Stress concentration around holes has been an area of concern in aircraft structures. Static tensilerntests and fatigue tests were conducted on graphite/epoxy and hybrid composite specimens with tworntypes of notches: center crack and center hole. Damage mechanism was observed by radiography.rnFinite element analyses were performed in conjunction with a point stress failure criterion torninterpret the test results.
