Home emergency call as a prevention of maltreatment of seniors

摘要

In this paper, the subject of our considerations is the question why the senior become victim of maltreatment from the side of family members as informal caregivers and how is this social-pathological phenomenon solve by community. In our case, there are municipalities that after legislative changes in 2001 and 2004 are taking the duty of providing the social services from the state. The resulting was the social-demographic analysis, and also the analysis of social services providing. The development of strategic plan as a part of community plan was next step. The result of this analytical and strategic plan was the fact that seniors are a specific group that requires attention and also there were identified some negative symptoms of maltreatment of seniors from the family members' side.
