DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF EUROCODE ON CONCRETE (EC2)

Eurocodes are now a reality. Conflicting domestic codes covering the same scope will soon be withdrawn. This paper explains the purpose of Eurocodes, the Eurocode system and some of the common features of Eurocodes. It also highlights some of the main features of Eurocode 2 on concrete structures. The steps taken in the UK for implementing Eurocode 2 are also noted.
