Sealing systems energy efficiency and environmental controls

Energy usage of sealing devices can be reduced by taking simple measures. It is important to pay attention to correct seal selection and this should be done in cooperation with seal manufacturer. Where possible, single flushless mechanical seals should be used. Dual seals should be used on services where the sealed medium dictates the use of dual seals or whenever health and safety or environmental concerns require tighter leakage control.
