ON THE QUESTION OF PLANAR NEAR-FIELD HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGING OF THE INTERIOR FIELDS OF A LUNEBURG LENS

This paper explores the possibility of constructing the interior field distribution of a Luneburg lens antenna through a brute-force implementation of microwave-holographic imaging. Images of the interior fields are constructed at various depths within the lens. Results from measured data, direct simulation, and the Fourier transform of simulated near-field data are compared in order to perform an in-depth comparative study.
