There is more to life than Produced Water Treatment - Alternative Applications for Liquid Hydrocyclones

Conventionally, Liquid - Liquid Hydrocyclones have been used to remove small quantities (2,000 - 5,000 ppm) of Free Hydrocarbons from an aqueous phase in Produced water Treatment Systems. This paper looks into the alternative uses for Liquid - Liquid Hydrocyclones. In particular, it examines their uses in bulk oil removal, often termed 'Preseparation', and the separation of denser liquid contaminants from a light phase, also referred to as 'Dehydration'. Case Studies for the alternative applications are also examined.
