Study of Formulation variables influencing the drug release rate From matrix tablets by perimental design

Experiment design was utilized to simultaneously investigate the Effect of varying the type of diluents and drugs solubility on the release behavior of drug from hydrophilic matrix tablets .The selected response Variables were the dissolution efficiency (i.e. the area under the Dissolution curve).Tablets obtained by direct compression of drug-Diluent-matrix temary mixtures prepared according to the experimental Plan provided. An arificial neural network(ANN) and regression Analysis were tested for drug release properics.Both methods wereCompared and evaluated for their predictivity with the application of Normalize error principle.
