摘要

Fluorescent labeled biocompatible, biodegradable nano- and microparticles were prepared from PLGA by solvent evaporation technique. The accumulation of these particles in the inflamed intestinal tissue as a novel therapeutic strategy in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) was evaluated both in a human cell culture model of the inflamed intestinal mucosa in-vitro as well as in IBD patients in-vivo. Indeed, particles showed a significantly increased affinity towards mucosa with epithelial defects (erosions and ulcerations).. While the in-vitro model demonstrated enhanced adherence of nanoparticulate carriers, the in-vivo study so far revealed the most pronounced effect for microparticles
