Planning Methods for Body in White (BIW) Production Lines at SVW

摘要

The methods in planning the production lines of BIW of a new car model Touran are analyzed. Through modeling of manufacture information and production process information of BIW production lines, the author presents the key technologies in implementation of the SVW BIW process planning system that enable the management of almost all information involved in the BIW production lines and provides the needed planning toolkit to facilitate the planning work more efficiently and effectively. Solution for integration of information from different sources is provided, which is especially typical for a joint venture of car production in China. Its implementation has been tested on the project of planning the production lines of the new car model Touran at SVW.
