SIMPLE SOLUTIONS REDUCE MSDs IN HOSPITALS

摘要

This paper describes three case studies that involve musculoskeletal disorders affecting radiology technicians, histopathology technicians, and nursing assistants. The purpose of this paper is to provide examples of unique problems and solutions for reducing musculoskeletal disorders so that others may benefit from these ideas. The emphasis here is on simple solutions. Although they may seem insignificant, these simple solutions can have a tremendous impact on an organization just starting an ergonomics improvement program. Small successes such as those created by implementing simple solutions can help build credibility and pave the way for future success. The use of multi-disciplined teams to develop solutions appears to be a good approach for greater likelihood of success.
