Content Gone Wild: Architecting and Classifying for Better Information Retrieval

Technical information isn 't being delivered as books or your basic help system anymore. Advanced technologies available on the internet, like faceted browsing and customer relationship management (or personalization) are used to increase retrievability even more. The role of the information architect is a critical one in the process of moving your content to a faceted browsing interface. Information architects now have the advantage of being able to use new delivery technologies and interfaces to present content to their users. However, with these advances come new considerations. The architect is responsible for overseeing the process and understanding the overall user experience.
