Automat for pigtailing passive integrated optics components with large number of ports

摘要

A pigtailing process is presented which is based on flip chip assembling and fibre mass preparation. The technique is automated and it is suitable for chips with high number of ports from several Integrated Optics technologies. Fast fully passive chip / fibres connection and high performances active pigtailing are demonstrated.
