摘要

An advanced navigation support system was developed aimig at one-man bridge operation. The ANSS designed based on tactive sailor's demands collected through a series of simulator experiments and interviews. The ANSS has many automatice navigation functins such as a TRACK PILOT, etc. All functions for OMBO are controlled iwth speech communication. The ffirst ship, which is equipped with the ANSS, started her service from september 1997. Throgh the observation of actual use of the ANSS, the effectiveness of the ANSS and its man machine interfce are discussed. In this paper, after a brief introduction of our reserch program, the design principles and functins of the ANSS are described. Then hte functins of man-machine interface using speech communciation nad its implementation are described. Finally, we discuss the effectiveness of the ANSS and its man machine interface thrugh the observation of actual ue and the subjective evaluation of active users.
