摘要

Cyclodextrins(CD) are cyclic oligosaccharides obtained from starch, they contain 6,7 and 8 glucose units, and are called α-, β, and γ-CD, respectively. CDs form non-covalently bonded inclusion compounds (ICs), which are made possible by their hydrophobic cavities, because all of their hydroxyl groups are located on their rims. CDs are non-toxic, bioabsorbable and biodegradable, and are used as nano-reinforcements.
