摘要

The casting cnditions that creast molten aluminum -water explosions in the aluminum industry are well knownbut we continue to injure personnel and destroy buildings and equipment with explosions at a steady rate.the basic casting porces in use and the hazards involved have not significantly changed in the past 50 years.Our knowledge of the cassting process and our cating equipment hae imporved tremendously.Personal protective equipment,as well a scasting pit protective systems,have bene significantly imporved.However,no significant imporvement in the explosition statistics has occurred.this paper will identify sme changes tha tcan be made to reduce the freuqency of explosions during cating in the aluminum industry.
