Interconnected power systems provide the link between large production centers and large consumption areas (transmission-distribution). They also allow power exchange through the power lines (tie-lines). Nowadays, the use of renewable energy sources (RESs) such photovoltaic (PV) and wind power generation are experiencing significant growth. The imbalance between supply and demand causes disruptions in the system, which can degrade the performance of the electricity grid and cause instances of instability. In order to guarantee operational safety, ensure the normal operation of the system and limit the number and consequences of incidents, the stability of electricity networks in the presence of renewable energies presents a major issue in the management of the grid.
