How can leaders strengthen and continually improve their process safety leadership? What leadership behaviors are essential for establishing and sustaining a safe operating culture? This paper will focus on a systematic approach being developed for use in BP to process safety-related leadership that includes establishing expectations, regular assessment, and personal development. A hard copy of BP's behavioral assessment tool, "Assessing Your Safety Leadership" will be provided to conference attendees.
