The H-92 Fly-By-Wire System Integration Laboratory (FBW SIL) provides the full compliment of aircraft components and subsystems that constitute the H-92 FBW Flight Control System. This includes the Electronic, Mechanical and Hydraulic Flight Controls, along with the aircraft supporting systems consisting of Avionics and Electrical Power subsystems. The installation of these components and subsystems in the SIL is done in a manner that replicates the aircraft design and installation to the highest practical degree. These subsystems are integrated by a closed loop test facilities infrastructure, which includes Sikorsky's proprietary GenHel flight simulation environment that provides an autonomous capability for end-to-end system testing utilizing both hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop capabilities. The standalone closed loop capability of the FBW SIL is further expanded to permit "flying" the FBW SIL from the Sikorsky Fixed Base Simulator (FBS) and the Motion Base Simulator (MBS). This capability supports piloted simulation evaluations of ADS-33 handling qualities and real time failure scenarios that require higher fidelity visual cues than that provided in the SIL.
