Wavelet and Self-Organizing Map Declacker

A declacking algorithm based on the Wavelet Transform and Self Organizing Maps is presented. Both tools complement each other for improved performance. The transient detection is based on the local properties of the music signal and of the noise. An expert operator selects typical types of clacks, which are used to design the best detector. The detected clacks are organized by the SOM after which the music signal is processed a second time.
