Fungal complex appeared during 1994 in the most potential area of soybean called 'Bhaber', Potential productivity of soybean in this region prior to occurrence of fungal complex was 4.0 -4,5 t ha~(-1). Due to this complex, soybean became no choice of farmers. Therefore, efforts were made during last five years (1997 to 2001) to establish the cause and effect of fungal complex on seed yield and nutritional quality of soybean, and to develop its management. Fungal complex resulted in 85%-100% reduction in seed yield, 45%-76% reduction in protein, 35%-58% in oil and significant reduction in Phosphorus, iron, zinc and boron content in grain. Crop rotation and other possible integrated management practices have been suggested to minimize the losses.
