Soybean food is relatively new for our people. It has been grown in our country for nearly 30 years now. A food crisis was needed to discover the potentialities and nutritional virtues of soybean, a crop that has been used in the Orient for more than a hundred years. The discovery of this new resource poses another challenge. Undoubtedly, Argentina, one of the major producing countries, has the commodity and thanks to this Program, it is acquiring adequate training to prepare foods. Shall we manage to implement a new labor-intensive food industry that would generate more jobs? Small undertakings and the various initiatives ranging from the elaboration of protein integral meals to the elaboration of soybean snacks are encouraging. The actual impact of an emergency feeding program may promote a new source for employment.
