In this paper we discuss the topology optimization of trusses under multiple loading conditions.rnA multicriterion formulation for the minimum compliance problem is proposed, where the criteria are therncompliances of each loading condition. The topologies of resulting Pareto optimal trusses are investigated andrncompared with the stress-constrained minimum weight design. It is demonstrated that there exist problems withrnseveral loading conditions for which the topology of the minimum weight design is not included in the topologiesrnof the multicriterion compliance problem.
