Some of the events and trends that shaped the Denver X-ray Conference during the years: 1980-1997 arernbriefly reviewed. The information was mainly taken from the books of abstracts and the conferencernproceedings for these years, and my own recollections. The data on which the trend plots are based arerncollected in a spreadsheet in the appendix.
