Cross flow heat exchangers are more effective as compared to parallel flow heat exchangers. The convective heat transfer coefficient is intensified by mixing effect on the tube bundles. In this study, the fluid flow and convective heat transfer in tube bundles is modeled in three dimensions. The tube arrangements are set to be aligned. The tube surface is set as a two-side wall by FLUENT to study the coupled heat transfer. The variations of Nusselt number in different pitch to diameter ratios and Reynolds numbers are discussed in detail.
