Search for new processes which could adapt the boriding technology of steels in consense with ecological requirements and, at the same time, a high degree of automation could be used, brought out the development of technology called ,,Air Plasma Spraying and Diffusion Annealing``. According to this technology the steel parts are provided with plasma sprayed layer (using powder mixture as a donor of boron) and successively annealed to ensure the diffusion of boron into the suitable depth of surface layer. The method can be used for sintered steels too.
