Applied problems of thermomagnetic processes in temperature sensitive magnetic fluids are discussed inthe paper. Thermodynamic analysis of the ideal cycle efficiency of a new modification of an injector-type magnetocaloric energy converter in which both the heater and the cooler are located outside the magnetic field region shows that positive work may be done when magnetic fluids having positive values of the temperature derivative of pyromagnetic coefficient have been used. The results of some principal experiments on the magnetic convection driven injector-type thermomagnetic pump are discussed. It is shown that in the presence of gravitation buoyancy force a specific unstability of convection in two-loop system may develop.
