GLOBAL AND LOCAL TROPOSPHERIC OZONE MEASUREMENTS FROM THE THERMAL INFRARED IASI/METOP SOUNDER

In this study, we present global and regionalrnmaps that show the temporal and seasonal evolutionrnof the 0-6 km column of tropospheric ozone. We willrnuse the data retrieved from IASI Level 1 radiance datarnusing a near-real time retrieval algorithm, FORLI thatrnallows the derivation of global distributions andrnprofiles of ozone. We will discuss the currentrnperformances in terms of vertical resolution andrnaccuracy and for the first time the maps of the verticalrnprofile of ozone during the year of 2011 will bernpresented.
