Flame Retardant Polymers, Additives and Coatings

摘要

Flame retardant coatings are used in a broad range of textile and non-woven fabric treatments. This paper will discuss the continuing development of new polymers and FR additives for such end uses. In particular, dibromostyrene (DBS) containing latices and their use in FR coating applications as well as low smoke emitting graphite barrier coatings will be reviewed. The attributes and detriments of various coating components/strategies are discussed.
