Presented in the paper are results of a numerical simulation specifically developed to analysis the response of plane frames of polymeric composite members, those connections can have non-linear moment-rotation characteristics. The novel aspect of the linear elastic analysis is that it allows the members to be shear deformable. Two unbraced frames of pultruded standard I-profiles are analyzed for increasing vertical and horizontal loadings. Results of sway deflection show that frames of pultruded members should be designed as braced if connections are simple, and that practical semi-rigid connections can make the stiffness of the semi-continuous frame similar to the rigid frame.
