The authors have proposed the design equation for shear capacity of beams with FRP reinforcement based on the experimental works so far. However, it is understood that the shear behavior of RC members implies "Size Effect". The experimental program was, then, provided to examine the size effect. It consisted of three different sizes of rectangular cross section of concrete beams, such as 150 × 300 mm, 300 × 600 mm and 450 × 900 mm. The beam length was determined to have the shear span to depth ratio of 2.5. Carbon fiber rods (grid) were used for longitudinal reinforcement, and Glass fiber rods (hoop) were for shear reinforcement. In comparison of test results with the JSCE code equation, it was clear that the size effect law for ordinary concrete beams was applicable to beams with FRP reinforcement.
