摘要

A technique that measures the strain profile along a fiber optic Bragg grating from the reflected intensity spectrum is presented. This novel approach can be used to measure the strain distributions within a structure on which a fibre optic grating is attached. We have demonstrated the capability of this technique to determine the extent of debonding in both anchorages and repair patches. We also proposed and experimentally verified a means to improve the spatial resolution of the measurement.
